Solar Panel Wholesale FAQ

Solar Panel Wholesale FAQ

These are the questions buyers ask most often before placing a wholesale order: minimum order quantity, how many modules fit in a 40HQ container, bifacial versus monofacial choice, datasheets and certificates, warranty terms and what actually moves the price per watt. Answers are based on the manufacturer datasheets we supply, not on marketing copy. If your project needs a specific model or destination port, send the details and we will confirm in writing.

Ordering and specifications

What is the MOQ for wholesale solar panels?

MOQ depends on the model, the wattage mix and current stock. Mixed-brand orders are usually quoted per pallet, while full-container orders get the best freight rate per watt. We do not publish a single number because a 40HQ of one model and a mixed pallet order have very different economics. Send your model list, quantity and destination port and we will confirm the MOQ in the quotation.

Can I mix wattages or brands in one container?

Yes, subject to stock. Mixed containers are common for distributors who need several wattage bins. We prepare a loading plan before production so the pallet count and weight stay within the carrier limit.

How many solar panels fit in a 40HQ container?

From the manufacturer datasheets we supply: Trina 700 W loads 594 pieces per 40HQ, packed 33 pieces per pallet; LONGi 650 W loads 720 pieces per 40HC, packed 36 pieces per pallet; Jinko 600 W loads 720 pieces per 40HQ, packed 36 pieces per pallet; Canadian Solar 630 W loads 594 pieces per 40HQ, packed 33 pieces per pallet; JA Solar 605 W loads 496 pieces per 40HQ, packed 31 pieces per pallet. The final count depends on pallet stacking and the carrier weight limit, so we confirm it on the packing list.

What is the difference between bifacial and monofacial modules?

A bifacial module collects light on both sides, so it can add roughly 5 to 25 percent output depending on ground albedo, mounting height and tilt. It usually uses dual-glass construction and weighs slightly more. A monofacial module uses a single glass front and produces from one side only; it is lighter and often cheaper per module, which suits membrane roofs, residential roofs and sites with low reflectivity.

Which module should I choose for a commercial rooftop?

If roof area is the constraint, a 600 to 650 W dual-glass module gives more watts per square metre. If roof load or crane access is the constraint, a 550 to 590 W monofacial module at around 27 to 28 kg is easier to handle. For coastal or high-humidity sites, dual-glass modules are usually the safer choice.

Documents and trust

Do you provide datasheets and IEC or UL certificates before ordering?

Yes. We send the manufacturer datasheet and the relevant certificate pack (IEC 61215, IEC 61730, UL 61730 where applicable, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) before the proforma invoice is issued, so your technical team can review the exact model and revision.

How do I verify the modules are genuine?

Every module carries the manufacturer serial number and packaging label. We share container and pallet photos, and flash-test data can be matched to the serials. For larger orders, third-party inspection such as SGS or BV can be arranged at the buyer cost.

Do you provide flash test reports?

Per-container flash data is available on request. Electroluminescence images can be arranged for larger orders or when the project lender requires them.

What warranty comes with the modules?

Warranty is the manufacturer warranty, not ours. Most models carry a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty. The LONGi Hi-MO X10 LR7-72HVH carries a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. The exact terms and degradation curve are in each datasheet.

Supply and logistics

How long does production and shipping take?

Stock items typically leave our Shanghai warehouse within one to two weeks. Production for non-stock models is usually three to five weeks depending on model and quantity, plus ocean transit to your port. We put the confirmed dates in the proforma invoice rather than quoting a generic lead time.

Which ports do you ship from?

Shanghai is our default port. Ningbo and other Chinese ports can be arranged on request; the Incoterm and port are confirmed in the quotation.

Can you support OEM or ODM orders?

Yes. We can arrange logo, label and packaging for container-volume orders, and our own Hu Sheng series is available for private-label projects.

What payment terms do you accept?

Payment terms are agreed in the proforma invoice and depend on order value, destination and whether the goods are stock or production. We do not publish standard terms because they are negotiated per order.

Can I order samples?

Yes, sample modules can be arranged. The buyer covers the sample cost and freight; the sample charge is usually credited against a follow-up container order.

Pricing

What affects the price per watt?

Cell technology such as TOPCon versus PERC, brand, wattage bin, glass type, order volume, Incoterm, destination port and payment terms. Polysilicon and cell prices also move monthly, which is why a quote has a validity date.

Why do you not publish prices on the website?

Module prices change with cell prices and freight, and a published number would be out of date within weeks. We quote against current stock and the specific model, quantity and Incoterm you need.

Can you quote CIF or DDP?

Yes. Tell us the destination port or door address and we will quote FOB, CIF or DDP with the same module specification so the comparison is like for like.
